Holy Quran is everything for Muslims, from a guide in religious matters to a patron in social lives. That is why we see Muslims greatly inclined towards Quran ever since its completion through Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Resorting to Qur’an not only comes as a religious obligation for Muslims, but also as a cue to live their lives in worldly matters.
This also becomes very clear form teachings of Qur’an itself where one can witness the words of Allah Almighty conveying the message of sanctity and effectiveness of Quran for those who fear Him:
Al-Baqara [2:231 …..He sent down to you the book and Wisdom, for your instruction. And fear Allah and know that Allah is well acquainted with all things.
That is why we seem Muslims not only concerned greatly about learning Quran themselves, but taking great pride and honor in Quran Teaching. Just have a look at what our beloved Prophet (PBUH) also tells us in this regard:
"The best of you is he who has learnt the Qur’an and then taught it." (Bukhari)
